Once that's all done, just dress up and have your best night of the year forget what anyone says, if you do it right, New Year's Eve can just about live up to the hype. If you want to be out but don't fancy mixing with braving the masses, plenty of restaurants are offering private rooms to rent, with special menus to match so you can still dine in high style without competing with the crowds for champagne at midnight. Try famous fine dining Indian, The Cinnamon Club, who've got a range of six menus on, priced from 35 to 75, and plenty of festive cocktails to match. It's always a big one: they're transforming five floors of Royal Festival Hall into a huge party space, complete with seven yup, seven pop up nightclubs. Though it's billed as a vintage stores that sell pandora charms affair, there'll be just about every type of music played, with 90s classics rubbing up alongside swing from the 20s, 30s and 40s. Don't miss the chance to get down in The Studio, either, which will be playing 70s and 80s funk all night. Besides that, there'll be plenty of booze, with the Tiki Bar looking to be a highlight, fine dining, and even a chance to get your hair done at the beauty salon. At midnight, make your way to the terrace to watch the famous Thames fireworks. More acts are set to be announced, too: if drum bass and soulful house are your thing, best to book now. Throwback Party at Studio 54 with The Reflex Harry Wolfman The 1970s in New York might have been grimy and sweaty, but the club nights were legendary: never before or since have humans partied quite so hard. Still, the Hoxton Square Bar Kitchen are giving it a go: inspired by the glittering disco scene and the iconic Studio 54, this NYE party boasts The Reflex (master of funk Nile Rodgers and Noel Gallagher are both fans), who is all but guaranteed to get the crowd dancing his cuts have been spun by the likes of Giles Peterson, Disclosure and Craig Charles. Other acts on the bill include Harry Wolfman, Origins Sound, Onda, Stand Alone and DJ Peach. Don't forget to don your glad rags, either there'll be a photobooth and dressing up tables if your outfit needs a freshen up. This year, the entire hotel is set to be filled with ludicrously well dressed party goers drinking and dancing their hearts out, as champagne corks pop and trumpets blare. Afro Disco at The Book Club Who needs to party like everybody else? The Book Club's Afro Disco boasts plenty of tropical goings on, including tiki bars, beach bars, stone heads, and the entire place kitted out as a rainforest, with vines, tropical birds and palm trees galore. Of course, expect afro beats and plenty of afro disco, with acts including Alexander Nut, Mina, Onyeara, Sounddhism DJs and Meltout Crew. There'll be plenty of confetti, cocktails and a countdown (naturally), with lives sets from the likes of DJ Die (who'll be doing a disco set), DJ Champion and others. They're taking the circus theme seriously, transforming the place with a Big Top, ring masters, animals and pandor charms trapeze artists, and plenty of games to get involved with. Circus themed fancy dress is encouraged, so don your top hats, long tails and corsets and come with plenty of glitter. Radio Rooftop's Night Of Glamour Head to the top of luxury hotel ME London to their swanky 10th story Radio Rooftop Bar for a glitzy night of champagne, canapes and fireworks. Tickets start at 250, which is admittedly a little high end, but there's an open bar, plenty of food, a live DJ, entertainment and the views from the rooftop are stunning. Dress up, and at midnight, watch the beautiful Thames fireworks while smugly enjoying being a safe distance from all the crowds. If you get a chance to, over the Christmas period, be sure to swing by the bar downstairs in STK, too, which is perfect for a pre supper cocktail.
9. Altered States: A Tribute To Surrealism More techo/house vibes with this evening, with Berlin duo Pan Pot headlining alongside Matador and Christian Burkhardt.
